Web Application Development
Workflow first.
Screens last.
Most web applications start as a stack of spreadsheets, shared inboxes and a SaaS tool that almost fits. The work still gets done, just with a lot of copying, checking and chasing.
We do web application development the other way round. We map how your business actually runs, model the data behind it, and only then design the screens. The interface comes last because it should reflect the logic, not hide gaps in it.
Portals and dashboards
One place to see the work and act on it.
Internal portals for your team, client-facing portals for the people you serve, and dashboards that show what is happening now rather than what happened last month. Each one reads from the same source of truth, so nobody is reconciling numbers between tools.
- Internal staff portals
- Client and supplier portals
- Operational dashboards
- Role-based access and permissions
Logic map and data model
Decided before anyone draws a screen.
Before we design anything, we document every rule, status and handoff in your process, then turn it into a data model. That is where most web applications go wrong: the screens look finished while the logic underneath is still guesswork. Getting it right first is what keeps the build on scope.
- Workflow and rules mapping
- Entity and relationship design
- Status, approval and exception paths
- Edge cases written down, not discovered later
Next.js front end, API-first back end
A modern stack you can hire for.
We build front ends in Next.js and back ends API-first, so every action in the interface is also available to your other systems. That makes integrations, automations and future apps straightforward instead of a rebuild. When we hand over, the code, the repository and the infrastructure are yours.
- Next.js and TypeScript
- Documented REST APIs
- Managed Postgres databases
- Full code and repository ownership

Case study
Protée OS
Our own event management platform, built the same way: logic map, data model, then interface. It replaced a stack of spreadsheets with one web application that handles quoting, suppliers and client-facing documents.

Common questions
How much does a custom web application cost?
It depends on how many workflows, user roles and integrations the application needs. We scope every project after a discovery session and give you a fixed quote for each stage, so you know the cost before the build starts. Start a project and we will tell you what yours involves.
How long does it take to build a web application?
A focused tool covering one workflow is usually a matter of weeks. A larger portal with several roles and integrations takes a few months. Discovery and the logic map come first, so the timeline is set once we know what we are actually building rather than guessed up front.
What tech stack do you use?
A Next.js and TypeScript front end, an API-first back end, and a managed Postgres database, deployed on modern cloud infrastructure. It is a mainstream stack, so any competent developer can work on it after us.
Who owns the code?
You do. When the project is handed over you own the source code, the repository, the data and the hosting accounts. There is no licence fee and no lock-in. If you want us to keep supporting it, that is a separate arrangement you can end at any time.
Outgrown your spreadsheets?
Tell us what your team does every day and where it breaks down. We'll tell you what the application should look like underneath.
